Brian Kirk City Administrator City Hall 2272 McAllister Ave. Port Coquitlam, B.C. V3C 2AS Dear Siz We have been residents of Port Coquitlam foz ove 14 years and currently reside in the new Citadel Heights sub-division. Citadel Heights is a very attractive and we are very hapny to be living here. When looking for azea a new home, we decided to stay in Port Coquitlam if at all possible, since we aze very fond of the city and its amenities . At the rear of oux'roperty the City (legal description is: is a heavily treed area owned by "Remaindez of No. 6, D.L. 232, Gr I, Plan 68514") The Citadel Heights subdivision has very few trees, due to its previous history, and there is danger in losing the few thar are left. It would be a great loss to this azea if the beautiful evezgreen and dogwood trees on this city pzooezty were to be removed. This would certainly happen if the pzoperty were sold oz developed. The pzoperty itself has a dean ravine in its center which reduces its suitability for single oz multiple family housing. In addition is home foz many birds and small wild I I f e . it We would aopzeciate careful consideration the City to keep this prone ty as a "green belt" to be lezt by in its natural state. Removal or thinninq of these t ees would zemove one of the last few treed az as on this side of Mary Hill and would be a great loss. We hone the city will take ouz suggestion to heazt and maintain this small poztion of remaining natuzal environment. ICOSI Yours very truly o cc. His Worship, The Mayor 7g. )! /-.
