THE CORPORATION OF TUE CITY OF voRT COQULTEA BY-LAW NO. 1730 A By-law to assess, levy and collect the cost of the work of local FEB improvement authorized by By-law No. 1689 of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam. WHEREAS pursuant to By-law No. 1689 of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, being the "Newberry Street Paving, Extruded Concrete Curb, and Storm Sewer Local Improvement Construction By~law, 1979, No. 1689" reconsidered, finally passed and adopted on the Thirteenth day of August, 1979, Pavement - 28' width; Storm Sewer, and Extruded Conerete Curb; all of a "Local Street” construction standard on a normal construction schedule; on Newberry Street from the north boundary of Fraser Avenue to the south boundary of Prairie Avenue in the City of Port Coquitlam as a work of local improvement under the provisions of Part XVI of the "Municipal Act", aa amended; AND WHEREAS the estimated lifetime of the work is twenty (20) years; AND WHEREAS the Treasurer hac certified the total cose of the work to be Fifty-two Theusand Five Hundred Fifty-seven Dollars and Sixty-two Cents ($52,557.62) of which Thirty-four Thousand Eighe Hundred Forty-four Dollars and Twenty-eight Cents ($34,844.28) is the City's portion of the cost, and Seventeen Thousand Seven Hundred Thirteen Dollars and Thircy-four Cents ($17,713.34) is the owners! portion of the cost, caleulated at the rate of $13.75 per foot of taxable foot frontage as provided in the "Local Improvement Charge By-law, 1969, No. 912", ag amended; AND WHEREAS it is proposed to borrow both the City's portion of the cost of the work and the owners’ portion of the cost of the work pursuant to borrowing authority granted by the Inspector of Municipalities; AND WHEREAS the actuul foor frontage of the parcels of Land beneficcing from or abutting the work is 1,456.49 feet and the taxable foot frontage of the parcels of land benefitting from or abutting the work is 1,288.24 foot; AND WIEREAS ic is necessary to impone « frontagestax upon tha parceln bonelleting from or abutting the work da order to resever the owners’ portion of tha coat, plua dutaress; THEREFORE tho Muntedpal Council of The Corporation of the Clty of Pore = _ ~~ . te ke me oe ts FINAL READING it i oneal Port Coquitlam, in open meatiny assembled, enacts as Collows:
