Subject: Christmas Tree Burning

Recommendation.

That the Fire Department be permitted to utilize Reeve Street
alle weather field for the burning of Christmas Trees.

Background &£ Comments:

The Port Coquitlam Fire Fighters Local 1941 would like to sponsor
a Christmas Tree burning on January 2, with donations going to
the Muscular Dystrophy drive for 1988. The Parks and Recreation
Committee have reviewed their request to utilize Reeve Streat
all-weather field and have approved this site, The fire fighters
intend to nupervise the event all day danuary 2, 1989. The
community would drop off the Christmas trees during the day and
the actual burning would start at approximately 9:00 pm. The
fire fighters intend to have juices, hot dogs and other festive
happenings on the evening of January 2, 1989.
