WHEREAS it is deemed desirable by the Municipal Council of The
Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam to include Douglas Island and
its adjacent foreshore area with the boundaries of the said City;

AND WHEREAS the procedure to effect such object is set forth in
Section 22 of the Municipal Act;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:

1. That a Petition addressed to the Minister of Municipal Affairs be
prepared praying for the extension of the area of The Corporation of the
City of Port Coquitlam to include the following described area not
contained within any municipality within the boundaries of The
Corporation of the City of Port Coquitiam:

Commencing at a point in the Fraser River distant 2,740 feet on a bearing
of North 76 degrees 15 minutes West from a point 1,810 feet from Monument

5976 on a straight line bearing North 31 degrees 41 minutes 40 seconds

West from said Monument 5976 to Monument 3578; thence South-westerly in a
straight line to a point on a straignt line between Monuments 5536 and

NGUTS" [.P., distant 1,020 feet from said Monument 3536;. thence North-
westerly in a straight line to a point on a straight line between
Monuments 3536 and "BLOOD" |.P., distant 1,290 feet from said Monument.
