December 19, 1972 TO ALL BRANCH AND BCOKMOBILE STAPF anne eV AND BCOKMOBILE STAFF Re: New kegistration Procedure Effective January lst, 1973, eligibility for borrowing onoks will depend ‘not on location of residence but on proof of residence, This means that, regardless of location of residence, a person may be registered if be or she can produce documentary proof of residence such as a driver's licence, tax notice, utilities bill, eredit card, student card or whatever. There will te no charge for persons who can qualify. Those who cannot may be registered as temporary borrowers and charged a deposit of 65.00. The payment should be noted on the registration card with date, and returned in full when proof of residence is provided. For purposes of library registration juveniles will te considered es adults when they enter Urade 8. Juveniles who have not reached Grade 8 will require a pevent's or Zuardian's signature. Regardless of category, juveniles must provide proof of residence or be registered as terporary borrowers and Charged the 95.00 deposit. The new registration procedure will allew the Fraser Valley xegional Library sore latitude in its loan policy and reduce to some extent the barriers between itself and other libraries in the Lower Mainland.
