Desr Sir:

At a regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of
the City of Port Coquitlam held on March 12th, 1973 one of our Aldermen re-
ferred to a recent newspaver article stating that the Greater Vancouver
Regional District 1s opposing the Provincial Government in requiring secondary
treatment of sewerage at the Annacis Island Treatment Plant and during the
discussion that ensued the Council were apprised of the fact that the Board
had taken this action daspite the fact that the Joint Water & Sewer Committee
of the Board had tabled the question for one month. The Council expressed the
opinion that this was a doubtful procedure to be following and, accordingly,
the following resolution wae passed:

"That a letter be sent to the Greater Vancouver Regional Districe
questioning the procedural aspects whereby the tabling of items. by a Conmittese
of the Repional District can apparently be overruled and the same placed an the
agenda of a subsequent Board meeting for consideration."
