Parker, of Prince Rupert, ‘one of the pioneers of, that city, spent last Thursday in New Hazelton and district. He was on his way home after a two weeks’ trip through the northern interior. He went east as far as Vanderhoof and on the way back took in the lakes country as far as John Bostrom’s at Wistaria. He visited several places through the Bulkley Valley and then gave the Hazeltons the onee-over. He has beenin the interior before but this was the first time he had sufficient time to get away from the railway. He found that the district had not been exaggerat- ed at all, in fact the half of the truth had not been told. He found crops that he had never dreamed, of before and he will join the growing band in Prince Rupert of boosters for the in- terior. When he got to New Hazelton he met a number of old friends and he found many gar- dens and fields that were a reve- lation to him and expressed sur- prise that there were not more Pacific % H Mrs. W.
