REPORT MAYOR AND COUNCIL LEISURE ACTIVITIES COMMITTEE | RE: COMMUNITY RECREATIONAL COUNCIL The Leisure Activities Committee has met with the Community Recreational Council to discuss terms of reference for said Council. The Community Recreational Council felt that some definite guidelines should be . initiated in order for the group to have a meaningful function in the City of Port Coquitlam. Therefore, the Leisure Activities Committee would like to put forth the following texms of reference for Council's consideration: 1. That the Community Recreational Council be officially recognized by the City Council as a resource body for the Parks and Recreation.Pepartment and the Leisure Activities Committee. - 9. That the above Council act in a resource capacity and would not vote on any recommendations which are going to City Council or the Leisure Activities Committee. 3. That the Council elect a chairman annually. 4. That the meetings of the Council be open to any interested member of the public. 'ยง, That at least one Alderman of the current Leisure Activities Committee and the Recreation Director be present at the meetings as resource personnel, whenever possible, 6. That the Community Recreational Council be encouraged to accept as their first major project; the invesigation of uses for the City's Nature Reserve and to give their recommendations and findings to.the Leisure Activities Committee.
