Contract for Installation of Bus Benches

Advertising Ltd. on the terms outlined in the proposal from Key Bench dated November 28,

The Public Works/Traffic Committee consider the attached memorandum dated January 14,
1992 from the Project Engineer regarding proposals from advertising firms for the installation
and maintenance of bus benches in the City of Port Coquitlam.

At present, the City of Port Coquitlam has an agreement with Seaboard Advertisement for the
placement of bus shelters in the City of Port Coquitlam and an agreement with City Bench Co.
for the placement of bus benches in Port Coquitlam.

Invitations were made to advertising firms for the installation and maintenance of bus benches in
Port Coquitlam and three proposals were received from Key Bench Advertising, Goodwill
Advertising, and City Bench Company. Based on an evaluation of the proposals based on
experience, type of bench, selection approval of bench sites, time limitation for repair and
occupation fees, it is recommended that the proposal from Key Bench be accepted for new bus
benches. City Bench would still maintain the existing bus benches in Port Coquitlam.
