Eng., FILE: PWC City Engineer SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR DITCH ENCLOSURE 1305 PITT RIVER ROAD (Public Works Committee Meeting of July 20, 1993) RECOMMENDATION: That Council authorize the installation of 10 metres of 300 mm dia. storm sewer on the east side of Pitt River Road in front of 1305 Pitt River Road at an extimated cost of $2,000.00. That Council allocate $2,000.00 from the special Public Works Capital Reserve Account for this purpose. BACKGROUND & COMMENTS: Mrs. L. Jones requested that the City enclose a 10 metre length of existing ditch on the east side of Pitt River Road directly north of Yukon Avenuc. This is the last section of open ditch in the area and there is an existing enclosed storm sewer to the north and to the south of the ditch in question as shown on the attached plan #1. This ditch is in poor condition and Tequires re-excavating and grading. It is recommended that the ditch be enclosed in order to reduce maintenance costs and to improve the area.
