- Please be advised that at the regular Council Committee meeting held on April

24th, 1972 the following recommendation of the Health Committee was endorsed by the

Council in Committee:

"That the City Council authorize the Health & Welfare Committee to apply te

the Province of 3.C. for a grant in the amount of $50,000.00 to provide for the
establishment of a facility in Port Coquitlam which would provide for the counsel~

ling, treatment, and rehabilitation of drug users and which would, in addition, |

serve the many purposes connected with education end crisis intervention presently

being provided by the “House” operation of the Narcotics Addiction Foundation in

the City of Vancouver."
