RRSP contributions among the target group from 1986.

Given the RRSP promotion undertaken reguiarly by

financial institutions and the fact that RRSPs offer
virtually the only tax-sheltered savings available to small
investors, it’s reasonable to assume that there has been a
similar annual increase in the intervening years. That

means alot of potential users!

Recently, a major member company of The Canadian Real

Estate Association commissioned an independent study

by the Angus Reid organization on the role of government’
in supporting home buyers. Seventy-five percent of the

respondents indicated strong oF moderate support for a

government initiative to allow RRSP funds to be used for |

home purchases.
