The ‘Terrace Lions Club, toge- ther with Lions Clubs ¢hroughout the world, is sponsoring a world- wide essay contest for the world's youth on the most important world aubject today — Peace. The contest offers $50,000 in total awards, including the $25,000 first prize, eight semi-final world regional awards of $1,000 each and travel expenses for the eight win- ners to Chicago, Dlincis in July, 1967, At that time, the first prize winner will be chosen from the eight, Also, more than 20,000 local, district awards will be made. - The contest, open to young people who will be 14 but less than 22 years of age aa of January, 1967, was announced by The Pre- sident of Lions International, Ed- ward Mi Lindsey, of Lawrence- hurg, Tenn, during the Aassocla- tion's Annual International Con- vention in New York.
