PETERS CITY ENGINEER SUBJECT: OFF-ROAD VEHICLES IN MARY HILL AREA = Works and Services Committee July 24th, 1984 RECOMMENDATIONS: No. 1 ~ "No Parking At Any Time" Signs be placed on both sides and the end of Western Drive from Western Place to the south end of Western Orive. No. 2 ~— "No Parking At Any Timer Sign be placed on the gate at Paula Place. No. 3 = "Motorized Vehicles Prohibited" Signs to be placed at the end of Western Drive and at the trail on both sides of Paula Place. No. 4 ~ Another large boulder be placed at a spot Just east of Western Orive where four wheel vehicles can now get through. No. 5 = The R.C.M.P. do some plain clothes policing to try to catch some of the unlicensed vehicles on the road, BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS: Mr. Wilillams had appeared as a delegation te Council! and was referred to this committee. He reported further recent incidents of noisy vehicles fate at night and of confrontations with motorcyclists. Williams recognizes the difficulty of keeping the vehicles off the property and also of having the ReC.M.P. chase them. However, he feels that i¢ parking can be preventad at the end of his street and signs installed prohibiting motor vehicies, the R.C.M.P. will have an easier time in enforcement. Continued pg 2....
