I HAVE a short story that
my friend Marlene
Budiselich shared with me.

Marlene lost ber beloved
husband Sam  Budiselich
last year on July 14, 1998,

Since then she has been on
her own. Sometimes she
feels a dil lonely without
Sam, bui her family makes
sure that she is well looked
after,

Recently while visiting
her son Darcy, he asked his
mother if there was anything
in her life that she’d always
wanted to do.

When Marlene thought
about it she remembered a
silly dream that she’d once
had.

She told Darcy that she
had dreamed about sitting
behind the wheel of a big
monster truck.

“Why not??? Darcy said.
“Just go for it.”

So, arrangements were
made with Ken Thiessen
‘who owns a 1999 Kenworth
— a big monster trick he
uses for hauling lumber and
logs.

Ken kindly allowed Mar-
lene to have her dream
come true.

She was able to drive
down the streetin Ken’s big
monster tnick,

Marlene said having the
opportunity to fulfill her
dream really made her
happy. She thanks Ken for
allowing her to drive his big
truck.

She aiso thanks Darcy for
making it all possible.

from a stroke which left her
paralyzed on her left side.
But this doesn’t stop her.
She is still able to get
around like she always did.
