THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM BY-LAW NO. 1455 A By-law to amend the "Traffic Regulation By-law, 1971, No. L117" KHEREAS the Municipal Council may, by By-law in pursuance of the authority of Section 125 of the “Motor Vehicle Act" being Chapter 253, R.S.B.C., 1960 as amended, provide for the regulation, control, or pro- hibition of pedestrian and other traffic on waikways and Ways within the Municipality and may prohibit the use of or presence on, of any designated aninzal or vehicle or species or type thereof, either at all times or at designated tines: 2 SHEPESS the walkway, way, or trafl knoun as the “PoCo Trail" shu carved on the Plan annexed hereto has been in cosmon usage by the publie as a pedestrian walbway, vay, or trail for many years and it is geered expedient for the Protection of the persons using same that the ereon and the use and presence thereon of any aniwal or vehicle of every spectes or type thereof shall be prohibited at all times. the Municipal Council vf The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitian, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: Division 3 of the "Traffic Regulation By-law, 1971, No. L1i7" te renusbering Sections 303 and 304 as 304 and 305, repectively, and inserting the following, after Section 302, as Section 303: "393(a) The use of an presence on, that walkway, way, or trail identified as che "PoCc Trail" and shown marked on the plan entitled "Port Coquitlam PoCo Trail" attached to and made part of By-law No. 1455 cited as the "Traffic Regulation By-law, 1971, No. 1117, Amendment By-law, 1976, No. 1455 of every horse, either ridden or driven (except as permitted by clause (b) hereof}, and every vehicle of every species and type thereof, including motor vehicle, motorcycle, and “trail bicycle” is hereby prohib{red at all times. The riding of horses for Pleasure is permitted on that part of the PoCo Trail not located within the bounds of the City's dedicated Nature Area, being Lot 325; NW, Section 6, SP and SW, Section 7, Township 40, Plan 49145, New Westninster District. 2. Section 801. of the By-law is repealed and the following substituted therefore: Subject to Sections 126 and 126A of the "Mczor Vehicle Act" every person whe violates any provisica of this By- law shall be guilty ef an offence and upon summary conviction thereof shall be Liable to a fine OF penalty not exceeding Five Hundred Dollars {$5C0.00) and the previsions of the "Susmary Convictions Act” being Chapter 373, R.5.B.c. 1960 as anended, shall apply thereto.” 3. The plan anneted hereto entitled “Port Coquitlam PoCe Trail” is attached to and made part of this By-law. 4.
