RE: Marketing Consultants

RECOMMENDATION:

That City Council! authorize the Mayor and Clerk to endorse a
contract with jintermark Services for provision of services.
The contract is to provide a marketing plan and advertising
strategy for the City's Economic Development Programme. The
budget for this project is $10,000 of which half is being paid
oy the City and the orher half by the provincial governmentis
Ministry of Economic Development.

COMMENTS:

This project is part «f the Planning Department's work
pragramme and budget ‘ar 1987. Several consultants made
submissions for this project, the firm of Intarmark was felt to
have the bvesf submission and presentation.

Inftermark, the firm selected, has extensive experience in the
area of economic development. They have worked with the
federal government on O.R.1.E. projects and local government in
other jurisdictions on economic davelopment.
