COUNCII MAY 16 1977 MEMORANDUM TO Mayor and Council , May 5th, 1977 FROM: Alderman P.F. Ranger Dredging and landfilling at the Mayfair Industrial Park is proceeding rapidly but I do not see evidence of Provinciai: Highways Department activity around the Cape Horn interchange. Traffic at the interchange is presently congested, hazardous, and dangerous. We have seen the aftermath of many accidents there. This industrial development had to be condoned by, and receive approval from, the Provincial Highways Department, therefore they must have a plan for improvements to accommodate the large volume of heavy traffic that will be generated at the interchange. I would move that we invite representatives from the Highways Department to explain to Council and the public what access and egress is planned and when this will take place.
