THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM To: Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Province of British Columbia. Tne Petition of the City of Port Coquitlam HUNBLY SHOWETH: 1. That the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port has by By-law No. 1584 cited as the "Block 5, Plan 2392 Road Closure By-law, 1978, No. 1584" stopped up and closed to traffic a certain portion of Road dedicated by Plan 2392 therein described; 2. That the said By-law No. 1584 of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was reconsidered, Finally passed and adopted by the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam on the Sixth day of March, 1978 and a duly certfied copy is attached hereto; 3. That the registered owners of all the adjoining and contiguous lands have consented to the closure of the said portion of Road dedicated by Plan 2392 and The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam has agreed to accept title to the land comprising the same; 4. That the portion of Road dedicated by Plan 2392 has never been open to traffic nor has public money been expended thereon and it is desirable to close the said portion of road in order that the said portion may be transferred to the registered owner of the immediately adjoining parcel in order that an unintentional encroachment on the road allowance may be corrected. It is expected that the City will teceive, after completion of the necessary statutory precedures in that behalf, the sum of $2,064.00 for the said property calculated at the rate of $1.50 per square foot for the 1,376 square feet involved in the transaction which said price of $1.50 per square foot is the standard price established by the Council for such land transactions and vepresents a fair market price. 5. That by Resolution dated the Sixth day of March, 1978 the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam authorized the presentation of a Petition to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing praying for the abandonment of the said portion of Road dedicated by Plan 2392 so stopped up and closed to traffic; THEREFORE your Petitioner humbly prays for the abandonment of the said portion of Road dedicated by Plan 2392 described in By-law No, 1584 of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam and the vesting of title to the land- comprising same in The Corporation of che City of Port Coquitlam.
