A Message from the Mayor

On behalf of the City of Vancouver and my colleagues on City Council, I would like to
extend my sincere best wishes to Le Centre Culturel Francophone de Vancouver as they
celebrate the 27" Festival d’été Francophone de Vancouver.

Le Centre has established itself as the hub of artistic, community and educational
programming for the francophone sector of our community. They have been a
cornerstone for continuing the celebration of French Heritage and allowing us to get in
touch with our bilingual roots. Festival d’été is one of the most acclaimed francophone
cultural events in Western Canada and we are excited to welcome numerous talented
francophone artists to our city for this popular festival. I know that residents within the
francophone community and beyond look forward to the popular Festival d’été year after
year.

I hope everyone in attendance has a wonderful time, and thank you to the organizers,
volunteers and participants who dedicate their time to make this festival a success!
