Dear Mr. Freeman,

Three years ago The Greater Vancouver Regional District prepared
a smali pamohlet describing its powers and functions. With the
co-operation of the municipalities in the region, over 260,000
of the pamphlets were distributed with 1970 tax notices.

The GVRD has assumed additional responsibilities and functions in
the last three years. This week the Regional District executive
approved the preparation of a new pamphlet outlining the GVRD's
xole, how it works, what it does, etc. We would again like to
enlist the co-operation of the municipalities in distributing the
pamphlet, which we would have ready by the end of Pebruary. It
will likely be four panels, folding to a size 90f approxi-

mately 34 inches by 7 inches and weighing possibly an ounce

(it will likely be printed on 60 1b. paper).

Could you let me know if your municipality will agree to dis-
tribute the pamphlet with your tax notices and, if so, how many
copies you would need.. Because there is some urgency in pre-
paring the pamphlet I would appreciate it if you could put this
matter before your council as soon as possible.
