The following is the report of the Public Works Committee:
ITEM I Respect uly submitted.
Re: South Side Water Supply Main Stage I Lt .
CU’ -

Tenders were received late last year for the supply of valves
for the above mentioned project. The attached memorandum from the Assistant
City Engineer outlines the tenders received and includes a recommendation
to the Public Works Committee. The Committee recommends that the Mayor and
City Clerk execute the necessary contract to supply the necessary valves
in accordance with the recommendation of the Assistant City Engineer.

ITEM II areas

Re: Bus Stop Relocations 7 - -

Discussions have been held between the Engineering Department and
B.C. Hydro and as a result of these discussions the following recommendations
are made for bus stop relocations.

1. <A new Type A Bus Stop is required on the east side of Cedar immediately
north of Pinemont.

2. A new Type A Bus Stop is required on the west side of Cedar immediately
south of Pinemont.

3. The bus stop on the east side of Cedar north of Prairie should be officially
relocated to the south side of Prairie west of Cedar. This should be a Type H
bus stop which is a new classification 105 feet long. .

4. The existing bus stop on the south side of Pitt River Road at McLean should
be relocated to the west side of Eastern west of Pitt River Road. This should
be a Type A bus stop.

5. A new bus stop is required on the west side of Eastern opposite 1931
Eastern Drive. This should be a Type J bus stop which is a new classification
(40 feet long). The attached sketch outlines the above recommendations.

The Committee has received numerous complaints and suggestions
resulting from problems experienced by cyclists going to and from Cedar
