June 19th, 1978. NEW BUSINESS: Alderman Mabbett gave Notice of a Motion he intended to present at the June 26th, 1978 Council meeting regarding not rezoning any new subdivisions until the problem of clearing and burning debris is solved. Alderman Mabbett asked that ‘PoCo House" be painted and the City Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock advised he would arrange this. Alderman Mabbett advised the grounds should be kept in better condition at'PoCo Housd' and that a letter should be sent to the tenants informing them of this. Alderman Traboulay advised the Association of Concerned Citizens is having a meeting on Wednesday, June 21st, 1978 and Aldermen Ranger, Keryluk and Traboulay advised they will be attending. Alderman Laking advised of the Urban Transportation Authority Act and how it will affect the municipalities regarding cost sharing and. advised that the Greater Vancouver Regional District are asking the government to allow more time to study the Act. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Aiderman Traboulay: That the City of Port Coquitlam concur with the Greater Vancouver Regional District in asking the government to allow more time to study the Urban Transpoztation Authority Act. Carried. Alderman Keryluk abstained from voting on the foregoing resolution due to lack of information.
