Re: Agenda Item No. 13 - Leisure Activities Committee

The Leisure Activities Committee has not met to discuss the request by
the Old Timers Hockey Associacion. As a matter of fact, Janna Taylor
has not seen their letter of request.

I believe this is the first request the City has received for an adult
hockey tournament, Since the Leisure Activities Committee has not had
an opportunity to discuss the many ramifications, particularly with
regard to subsidies and our costs, I would respectfully request this
item be given approval in principle subject to a satisfactory rate
structure being negotiated between the Committee and the Old Timers
Hockey Association.
