RESOLUTION:

That the City Clerk be instructed to prepare for Council's consideration
at its next meeting on October i5th, 1990 a Bylaw pursuant to Section 735 of
the Municipal Act authorizing the ‘bringing up to standard of the building
located at 2667 Kingsway Avenue. ’

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

Copies of the undernoted documents follow this report:

1. ‘Section 735. of the Municipal Act. . a

26° An inspection report regarding the property prepared by the city's S
Director of Building Permits and Inspections.
Two Orders issued by the Local Assistant to the Fire Marshall.
A report dated September 25th, 1990 from the “Property owner's
structural engineer.
A map section showing the location of the. property.

A full copy of the report mentioned in Item No. 4 above will be available
for review at the meeting as it contains a number of colour photographs. ~

Both the Director of Building Permits and Inspections and the Local
Assistant to the Fire Marshall will be in attendance to expand upon their
reports or answer questions.

The owners of the property have been invited to attend this Council
meeting and before giving consideration to the resolution suggested above
Council should give them or their representative the opportunity to be heard.
