Three options would alleviate the resident’s drainage problem:

Option 1

Swale to existing catch basin at the NE comer of the property.
Run off water from the higher road elevation would go to existing
catch basin. However, this option would not remedy the drainage
problem during periods of heavy rainfall. The result would be a
collapsing of the temporary trench and resulting property
flooding. | .
Cost of swaling : $145.00 (tw ce/year or more)

TOTAL = $290(min.)

Pave the boulevard to create permanent swale. This option would
alleviate the need to re-swale gravel boulevard in future.

Cost of asphalt hand work:

~approx.25m - 65mm asphalt @ $200/tonne = $1600

TOTAL $1600

Install a catch basin at the NW comer of the property at 1680
Coquitlam Avenue. Cost of catch basin and lead:

~approx. 13m - 150mm lead @ $102/m = $1350
-CB and barrel | = $1500
contingencies (15%) . $450 —

TOTAL $3300
