Re: British Columbia summer Games

At the Council meeting held November 2, 1981, the invitation From
the Ministry of Provincial Secretary and Government Services,
relative to the 1984/85 British Columbia Games, was declined,

Subsequent to discussion, the following resolution was passed:

"THAT the City explore with the District of Coquittam
and the City of Port Coquitlam the possiblity of
jointly holding the 1986 Summer Games with a view to
the fact that this will be the centennial year of the‘
arrival of the first trans-continental train.”
We would appreciate your comments on the proposal by Council as
detailed above, at your earliest convenience,
