Requests from Community Groups and Parks Design Response

Two (2) junior softball/T-ball diamonds Two New Soccer pitches and baseball diatnonds between
Hazel Trembath and Citadel Middle School

One (1) senior soccer pitch

Two (2) neighbourhood tennis courts This can be accommodated in Eastern Drive Park to
supplement the two existing courts.

Traditional play ares Two new traditional play areas will be incorportated in the
plan. One for "tots" ages 2-5, and one for elementary school
age children.

Creative play areas In addition to the traditional play areas is an area designated
for creative play which is earthworks and hard and soft ground
surfaces designed to accommodate a variety of activities.

Also the "Outdoor Classroom" area can be used with the pond
area for creative play.

"Adventure" play areas (forts etc.) The "naturalized" forest area is intended to utilize natural
: . objects such as logs, boulders, etc. arranged to promote
gathering and adventure play.

Grassed areas for unstructured play : This has been accommodated for in the picnic area and the
multi-use open space area .

Hard/ soft trails There is an extensive trail system (some asphalt, some crushed
stone) that covering approximately 1.5 Km throughout

Off-street parking — There is an allowance for a crushed limestone surface parking
- lot to accommodate approximately 35 cars within the Hydro
ROW in Parksite #3

Multi-purpose paved sport court (similar to lacrosse box | The concept plan shows a fenced Multi-use hard surface court
but designed to hold two games atonce) the size of a reguiation basketball court plus a 3 meter wide
- safety zone.

Small water play area

Picnictables . A picnic area with tables, a covered picnic shelter and
