The Downtown Revitalization Committee endorses the proposed
revitalization plan and the short term public works streetscape

The City Councial approves the concept plan and short term
costs and requests the Provincial Government for an advance of
$10,000 from the program funds. seoo(Nov. 29, 1982)

The application is to include: weel(Nov. 30, 1982)

a. a copy of the Resolution of Council asking Municipal
Affairs to designate the Downtown area as an urea to be
considered for funding (initial request).

a copy of the by-law defining the revitalization
benefitting area.

a Certified Resolution of Council indicating that the
Proposed works comply with Municipai Policy.

a Certified Resolution of Council approving the plan and
costs.

a Certified Resolution of Council requesting a loan
advance.

a copy of the plan.

@ resolution of Council understanding that the $10,000
advance is payable to the Provincial Ministry if the
specified area bylaw is not successful.

Municipal Affairs reviews approval given in principle. Design
advance is forwarded to the Municipality. w(Dec. 15, 1982)

Project consultants complete preliminary design and costs for
first phase program ard prepare for public information meeting
on January 18, 1983.

The City Council approves the bylaw procedures, specified
area, and the dates for public information meetings. Suggested
dotes for public information meetings are January 1!8th
(Tuesday) 1983 and February 22nd (Tuesday) 1983. Council
enacts specified bylaw by Feb. 28, 1983.

Council approves final design and costs for first phase program.
