The Health Committee -~-2- July 21st, 1972 The Committee recommends to Council that the proposal be given serious consideration in view of the need in the community. Although this is not a community care facilities licence application, that we generally deal with, Council may wish to have the proposal submitted to the adjacent property owners to determine whether there is any opposition to such a home being approved. Windsor Glen Trailer Park Development - this development was discussed with the merbers of the Simon Fraser Health Unit as requested by Council in view of the fact that it was anticipated that the development would be constructed utilizing individual septic tanks. The Health Inspector advised that although the matter had been discussed, no plans for any development of this property had yet been submitted to the Department of Health and he was not able to comment on the exact nature of the proposal. The Committee has sent a letter to Dr. Munroe advising that the Council is opposed to permitting the development on septic tanks and in addition that they are not in favour of extending this development utlizing a package sewage treatment plant in view of the fact that it perpetuates the problem that we are trying to avoid by spending thousands of dollars to the Regional District for sewage treatment. If any further information is received on this matter, Council will be informed.
