Alderman Ranger sta. ted that the Planning & Zoning Committee had looked at the situation from the “people” point of view and commented that property acquisition vould be invoived with respect to the: green, buffer area behind the lots. on Broadway. Alderman Thompson pointed out that there would be property acquisition required | on McLean Avenue as well, and Alderman Ranger mentioned that it would be quite costly to get | the » ultimate Plan established. His Wor ship the } Mayor. then advised ‘that Mr. OR. L. Sutter, one of the residents concerned, was in attendance, and he invited hin to speak to the matter. Hr. Sutter stated there is a traffic problem on Langan Avenue, and that having two residential streets running into a comercial area is not a good idea. Mr. Sutter advised that the residents do want Langan Avenue closed, and he pointed out that this is supported by the city’s own long-range plan : for that area.
