Members are reminded that the U.B.C.M. Cxeeutive will only
consider late resolutions the subject maltar of which is such
‘that they ceuld not have been submitted as ordinary resolutions
by the normal deadline date,

VOTING RIGHTS
All. delegates who are Glected representatives of member municipalities

or regional districts are entitled to vote,

Delegates who are appointed officials of member municipalities or
regional districts are not entitled to vote and ghall sot be entitled
to the privilege of the Ticor unless authorized by the Convention, No

proxy is recognized or allowed.

NOMINATING PROCEDURE

In order for all delegates to be aware of the Convention procedure
governing election of U.B.C.M. Executive members, the following two
espects are set out:

1. Appointment by Area Associations.

Under Clause 3(b) of the U.B.C.M. Bylaws, each Area Associatian

and the City of Vancauver shall appoint one person who shall be

the Director representing that Association or City on the U.6.C.M.
Executive. Such appointments are made by the five Area Associatians
and the Vancouver City Council and the nema of ‘the person appointed
should be communicated to the Chairman, Nominating Committea, e/a
U.B.C.M. Office, 313 ~. 6th Street, New Westminster, 6.C, VZL 3A7.

Other Nominations. .
The following Executive positions are open for election during the
Annual Convention: .

In order to ensure that the Nominating Committee receive names cover—

ing oll the Province, the Presidents of each of Che five Area Associations
have been requested to submit names, approved at meetings of the respect-
ave organizations, ta the Chairmen of the Nominating Cemnittee well be-
fore the stark of the Convention. Correspendence concerning such nomina-
tions should be addressed to the Chairman, Nominating Committee, c/o
U.B,C.M, Office. ;

REGISTRATION FORMS

Copies of the Registration Ferms fer this year's Convention are en-

closed. Que to rapidly increasing costs, it has been necessary to in-
crease the registration fees for the First time in 4 years. A fee of

$75. will apply for. all delegates, observers, and Government appointed
officials, while a fee of $45 will woply for spouses and guests. The
co-operation of U.B.C.M. members in returning completed registeution

farms to the U.B.C.M.office, together with cheques made payable to the
U.B.C.. would be appreciated, Registration forms tor Provinetal Gouv~
ernment Ministries and agencies will be distributod by Re. N. A. HeCrimmon,
Ministry of Municipal Affairs,
