Ben Anderson, 2727 Patricia Avenue suggested that the barricade had made a difference in his neighbourhood and should remain. Rod Cocker, 2655 Touhey suggested that as collector roads traffic should be routed through Patricia and Hastings. Stu Winter, 2585 Touhey agreed with suggestion to barricade Murchie Street and would like to see the decision of Council from the meeting of March 2nd regarding this item, upheld. Hazel Postma, 2571 Patricia Avenue would like to see the commuter traffic discouraged from residential areas and submitted a petition taken by her son as well as a letter from Lois and Gordon McCrady stating their strong opposition to Council recent decision to remove the Kitchener Street traffic island. Bill Rhodes, 2513 Sawyer Place suggested that Woodland be designated a one way street south bound, that a divider be put on Kitchener to prevent traffic, that another left hand turn signal be placed on Westwood turning east onto the Lougheed Highway and that a four way stop be placed at Kitchener and Hastings. Lauren Giroux, 2645 Kitchener Street who submitted a letter written by Brian A. Mason, Solicitor on his behalf putting the City on notice of a traffic problem in the area. Moved by Alderman Thompson: Seconded by Alderman Gordon: That a Special Council meeting be held at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, March Lith, 1992 at which time Council will be meet with area representatives to discuss traffic pattern options; And That the removal of the traffic median be delayed. The delegation of Bob Tarling, Trustee and Sydney Tomchenko, Director of Public Relations, St. Mary's Hospital, regarding the Role of Saint Mary's Hospital was deferred for one week.
