Maple Sugar Festival du Sucre
d’Erable in Nanaimo. ¢
Once again the Francophone
Association of Nanaimo has
‘prepared a fabulotis five day event that will surely be
entertaining and educational for participants. Live
entertainment with performances by talented comedians and
musicians, as well as exhibits, authentic French Canadian
foods and ice carving demonstrations, will make this year’s
festival a fun and memorable experience.
I would like to commend the organizers of the 6th Annual
Maple Sugar Festival du Sucre d’Erable for their efforts in
sharing and celebrating the maple syrup story with such
enthusiasm. Please accept my best wishes for a very
successful event.

families, and organizers involved in

the Sixth Annual Festival du Sucre

d’Erable to be held in February, 2005.

This year we look forward to another

stellar line up of over 55 Canadian

regional and national performing

artists and we are excited about the

first ever provincial amateur singing

contest.

| would like to extend a special note ‘of thanks to the many
volunteers who have worked hard preparing for this. five-
day event. Itis your hard work and dedication that ensures
the Maple Sugar Festival is a great success.

On behalf of the citizens of Nanaimo and City Council, |
wish the LAssociation des francophones de Nanaimo

many exhibits and performances during the week of cele-
