Always take the time to do some light stretch- ing. Concentrate on loosening your leg muscles, especially the ham strings and groin muscles. It’s also a good idea to stretch your lower back. Both flexion (bending over) and extension (arching backwards) stretches will help. As a Skier, your lower back takes quite a beating, regardless of how many sit-ups you do. Make sure you warm up with a couple of easy tuns. When you finally assault Galloways, you’ll be ready. It is also important to cool down at the end of the day by taking a slow, easy run down.
