Cedar Dr. El, that the letter from the City. dated March 8th, 1973 regarding attendance __ j School and other arrangements for the Cedar Drive ‘Eknentary School was. consi sidered by the Board at its last. meeting, | and stating ‘thet to accomplish the: trans~ fer of thirty-eight pupils from Cedar Drive to the James Park Blenentary School in “er tember , 1973, the Board is changing the attendance boundary for those schools effective September, 1973, which is considered to be_ reasonable because of the relatively little extra distance the pupils will have to travel to James Park as. opposed ‘to. Cedar Drive; further, with re- gard to the possibility of constructing an addition to Cedar Drive, an application has already been made to the Department of Education co can- struct a new school on the Lincoln site which, if approved, would negate the need for an addition to the Cedar Drive Elementary School, at this time. The Board, in its letter, expressed appreciation for the City's offer of suppert in obtaining Provincial Government approval for construction of a school on the Lincoln site by September, 1973; however, it was pointed out that the Chairman has discussed this Matter with the Minister of. ‘Education followed with a letter from the Board to. the Department requesting the. Board be authorized to proceed innediately with plans for construction of. the new school on the Lincoln site, and stating that it is. felt a .
