(Public Works Committee Meeting - October 6, 1992) That Council approve the installation of a bus zone at farside Welcher Ave. on southbound Mary Hill Rd. and establish this by installing two "No Stopping - Bus Zone" signs according to the attached map at a cost of $200. | The Public Works Committee considered the attached memorandum from the Project Technician dated September 28, 1992 regarding a request from BC Transit dated September 15, 1992 for a bus zone installation at the existing stop on Mary Hill Rd. southbound, farside Welcher Ave. Problems have arisen from cars parking in the area of the bus stop. A bus zone will make it clear that cars cannot park in this area. The Committee agreed with the staff recommendation to install two “No Stopping - Bus Zone" signs at this location according to the map from BC Transit attached.
