This two-day event allows all skaters to par- ticipate from — beginners (Canfigureskate) to the highest level of Senior Silver and Gold. It gives skaters an opportunity to ‘compete. at their levels ; - : more than any other com- . petition does. The Pre-Natal Fitness class is. designed for ‘women who-are either pre or post natal. It is held at the Terrace Aquatic Center where the gentle water exercises will help you maintain your fitness level throughout the preg- ‘nancy and get you back in- to shape afterwards. An ‘added benefit is that the water’s buoyancy makes it seem easy and much less tiring than exercising on land. This class is held - Mondays and Wednesday from 8 p.m. to 8:45 p.m For more information on these or any of our regular fitness classes, call the Terrace Parks and Recreation Department at 638- 1174 or drop by the office in the Terrace Arena and register. It is supposed to be a -. fun event. Other competi- ' tions like C.N.C. Region- als that skaters attend are : very serious competitions. Skaters compete in those events to win a chance at Sections, Western Divi- sionals and Canadians. This session is not like that. It doesn’t matter- what figure you are on or how good you can free- skate or dance. The event gives skaters an oppor- ‘tunity to compete and have fun doing it. There ate events that ‘cover single skating, mix ed and ladies’ freeskate pairs, (ladies’ pairs be- cause there is a shortage of male skaters). Also, there’ is mixed and ladies’ dance pairs, (ladies again, for’ the same reason).
