Re: Pedestrian Walkway ~ Coast Meridian to Larch Way

Attached is a letter recently received on the above noted subject
and our repiy.

Also attached is some background information, including a map of
the area and a copy of the Leisure Activities Committee Report of October
12th, 1977 on this subject. -You will note that this October 12th Report
was considered at the Council meeting of October 17th and we would advise
that although the same was not ratified by a formal resolution of the Council,
we hav2 listened to the tape of the meeting and there is no doubt whatsoever
that the Council accepted the Committee's proposal and expected it to be
put into effect. At that meeting, Alderzan Laking advised the Council of
the concerns expressed by the residents in the letter to which we are now
replying so the Council made its decision with the full knowledge that such

objections existed. :

The residents are most anxious to have this matter dealt with by
the Council as construction is presently underway. .
