Zahynacz, P.Eng City Engineer Russ Mammel, EIT Supervisor of Design & Technical Services GYRD Haney Main No. 3 Pavement Restoration - Westminster and Cambridge RECOMMENDATIONS: 1. Cost share with the GVWD to mill the remaining flush-coat on Westminster from Cambridge to Oxford, and place 75mm of asphalt for an estimated vost of $5830 including GST, 2. Cost share with the GVWD to place a 25mm overlay on the remaining undamaged asphalt on Cambridge from the lane north of Suffolk to the lane south of Westminster, at an estimated cost of $890 including GST. If the City does not wish to cost share on this section of road, the GVRD will rebuild the south © side of Westminster entirely with full base construction and 75mm of asphalt. The north side of Westminster will have the remaining flush-coat milled off with 25mm of asphalt placed. ‘If the City cost shares, an additional 50mm of asphalt will be placed on the north side of Westminster. Because the north side of the road will not have a proper base construction, a 75mm asphalt layer is recommended to ensure a reasonable life. if the City does not cost share for this part of Cambridge, the GVWD will totally reconstruct the east side with base and 75mm of asphalt. Also, they will remove and patch the damaged — sections of the remaining asphalt on the west side. | | _ Tf cost sharing takes place, the City is proposing to pay one third the cost of placing a 25mm overlay over the remaining asphalt strip on the west side. This will give a full 75mm over the entire road. Cee a TEA
