NOAM GAGNON

Noam Gagnon est danseur, chorégraphe et le directeur artistique de Co.
Vision Selective. Depuis sa création en 2006, Co. Vision Selective a produit
plusieurs oeuvres dont Vision Impure, en premiere au

Cultch (Vancouver), en 2007. Pour sa performance en
solo dans Vision Impure, Noam a regu le prix Isadora
d’excellence en interpretation. En 2009, le travail a été
remonté pour une tournée canadienne avec de nouvel-
les commandes par Daniel Léveillé et Nigel Charnock.
Noam a été, pendant 16 ans, le co-directeur artistique
et chorégraphe de The Holy Body Tattoo. Avec cette
compagnie artistique, le travail de Noam a recu un
succés critique et public du monde entier. Our brief
eternity, Poetry & Apocalypse, Circa (lauréat du Prix
Noam Gagnon inaugural d’Alcan Performing Arts), spectacles dont ila
été le créateur, ont été mis en scéne dans le monde entier
des centaines de fois, et lui ont valu notamment de remporter le Prix Dora Mavor
Moore.

Noam Gagnon is a dancer, choreographer and artistic director of Co. Vision
Selective. Since its inception in 2006, Co. Vision Selective has produced several
works including «The Vision Impure», which premiered at The Cultch (Vancou-
ver) in 2007. For his solo performance in The Vision Impure, Noam received the
Isadora Award for Excellence in Performance. In 2009, the work was remoun-
ted for a Canadian tour with new commissions by Daniel Léveillé and Nigel
Charnock. For 16 years, Noam was the artistic co-director and choreographer
of «The Holy Body Tattoo». With this artistic company, Noam created work that
received critical and audience acclaim around the world. Shows he has created,

«Our brief eternity», «Poetry & Apocalypse», «Circa» (winner of the inaugural
Alcan Performing Arts Award), have been performed worldwide hundreds of
times, and have won many accolades including the Dora Mavor Moore Award.

FANA SORO

a Fana Soro est un maitre du balafon, un xylophone
en bois originaire de |’ Afrique de I’Ouest. Fana a
parcouru le globe avec le prestigieux Ballet Na-
tional de Céte d’Ivoire pendant neuf ans, et pour-
suivi sa carriére en milieu scolaire pendant sept
ans en Scandinavie. Ces treize derniéres années,

Fana s’est imposé au Canada dans des réles va-

riés d’interpréte, musicien, danseur, professeur
et, surtout, d’ambassadeur culturel et batisseur communautaire hors pair, parta-
geant sa joie de vivre contagieuse.
