DEAR ABBY: I fust read the letter from the 14-year-old
boy who was afraid he had VD and didn’t want to tell his
parents, and I just had to write.

Lam a 15-year-old girl who had a similar experience. I
thought I had VD. leried for days, Finally I decided the only
thing I could do was to tell my mother. Abby, that was the
hardest thing 1 ever had to do. When J told her we both
cried I begged her not to tell my father, but she said she had
io. Some’ pretty cruel words were exchanged amang the
three of us.

The next seven days were the toughest I've ever ex-
perienced, but it also proved how much my parents really
loved me. They stood by me the whole time, When we finally
got the doctor's report, we were relieved to learn that it
wasn't VD—it was another kind of infection.

My friends thought I was crazy for telling my mother, but
it was the best decision I ever made. It really brought us
closer together, and we got to understand each other better.

Abby, please keep encouraging kids to take their heavy ~

problems to their parents. It’s nol always the easiest way,
but it's the smartest, Thanks for letting me have my say. I

helieve you really do care.

DEAR ABBY: The 67-year-old wife of the impotent
61-year-old “spiffy dresser, great dancer, and big spender”
has @ lot to learn. (She can’t understand why “the other
woman in his life” finds him so attractive.)

There ake literally tlGugends of women who would ‘be
overjoyed to have such wcatpanton, especially if he can't do
anything in bed! What a pieasure it would be to have a niari
take me out and show me a good lime, and not wrestle me to
the floor when the evening is over!

Another thing the poor wife doesn't seem to know is that
many a man who is impotent at home is a powerhouse with

women other than his wife.
