From the Public Works Committee, June 18th, 1979 advising of information

received regarding the available life of the Terra Nova Landfill and the
other landfill site. available. The Public Works Committee further
advised that the old Welcher Dump site could be a potential recreation

site which would be determined by the Leisure Activities Committee.

That the old Welcher Dump site be referred to the Leisure Activities

Committee for possible future recreational use.

From the Public Works Committee, June 18th, 1979 recommending that

the proposal from the District Highways Engineer be accepted as presented

and that the City be responsible’ for sweeping and cleaning catch basins
on the Lougheed Highway from Westwood Street to Shaughnessy Street.

From the Public Works Committee, June 18th, 1979 advising receipt
of.a letter from B.C. Hydro giving their schedule for the bus stop
arrangements at the intersection of Shaughnessy Street and McAllister
Avenue starting with their new route changes in July.

From the Public Works Committee, June 18th, 1979 recommending that
a standard symbolic warning sign with a 30 km/h speed warning tab be
installed on Kingsway Avenue east of the railroad crossing to indicate
the intersaction and the curve in the road.
