A regular meeting of the Municipal Counci! of The Corporation of the
City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Counci| Chamber, Port Coquitlam
City Hall on Monday, January 28th, 1985 at 7:30 PoM.

Hts Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.C. Farnworth, M.D.
Gates, J.J. Kerytuk, G.R. Laking, W.W. Stewart and M.R. Wright fn
attendance.

Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, Assistant City
Engineer T. Chong, P. Eng., Director of Community Planning W. Brown,
Parks & Recreation Director K.J. Taylor and Recording Secretary D. Vyse.

seconded by Alderman Farnworth:

. That the minutes of the Regular Council Meeting held on January
14th, 1985 be taken as read and adopted.

DELEGATIONS:

PZ/01/85/01/28/01

His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced Mr. Michael Garton,
Gartor & Harris, 1542 Pratrie Avenue who then made a presentation to
Councit! regarding the uses permitted under the Rezoning Apriication
R#17/E3 Development Permit. It is intended that a Commerc'<! Bullding
will be constructed on the property which is located in the 1400 Block
Prairie Avenue and Mr. Garton advised that they have bee. unsuccessful!
in getting a financiai institutien as a tenant and in place of it are

considering either a Mac's Milk or a produce store,

The Councit generally agreed on the change of tenant and expressed
appreciation to Mr. Garton for making his presentation to the Council.

PZ/15/85/01/28/35 .

Mayor Traboulay advised that !tem 15 on the Agenda being the
Director of Community Planning's, January 23rd, 1985 memorandum
regarding R#19/84 - 1520. Coquitlam Avenue, would be discussed at this
time and that two delegations had requested permission to address the
Council.

Seconded by Alderman Laking:

That Mr. Art Phillips, Zocalo Consutting Ltd., and Mr. Larry
Ward, property owner = 2959 Coast Meridian Road, be permitted to

address the Counci! at this time.

Mr. Art Phillips, Zocalo Consulting Ltd., then made a presentation
to Council regarding the proposed development at 1520 Coquitlam Avenue.
