To the: Mayor, City Council and Plasning Department, City of Port Coquitlam:

We the undersigned, residents of the North-Viestoern area of Port Coquitlam, hereby
wish to protest the re-zoning of proserty from 3385 to 3441 Hastings Street from °
Singie Family residential To Multiple-Family for a proposed 40 Unit Townhouse

development, encompassing land from Hastings Street accross Maple Creek to Jervis

Street.

Our reasons for opposing the re-zoring are many and varied, some of them being:-
1. Westwood Elementary Schoot is now crowded, the increased enro! Iment
from 40 families as we!| as from several new homes being built in the
area, would severely overcrowd the school.

Increased traftic on Hastings Street and other local residential streets.

Inevitable damage to “eple Creek, in which Salmon now spawn, Mallard
ducks and Blue Herovs ow frequent. .

Change in type of aroa, now rasidential, semi-rural type environment
+o a much higher density, city type atmosphere.

Jeopardizing other undevelopes sites tn the general area. If re~zoning
is accomplished once it would se far easter for other developers to
build high density projects throughout the area.
