A By-law to provide for payment of an indernity te the Mayor and
f4iderzen of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam for the year 1973.

WHEREAS under and by virtue of Section 200 of the "Municipal Act",
being Chapter 255 of the Revised Statutes of British Columbia, 1960, and
Amendments thereto, the Council may by by-law provide for paying out of the
annual revenue an indemnity to the Mayor and Aldermen of The Corporation of
the City of Port Coquitlam, and may provide that a portion of the seid indemity
to be patd to the Mayor and Aldermen shall be paid as an allowence fer expenses
incidental to the discharge of tha duties of their respective offices;

NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of
Port Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts e3 follows:
i. There shall be paid to the Mayor of The Corporation of the City of
Port Coquitlam in the year 1973 an indemnity of Nine Thousand ($9,000.06) noilears
per annum of which said indemnity the sum of Three Thousand ($3,000.00) Dollars
ehell be paid as an allowance for expenses incidental to tha discharge of the
duties of his office. -
2. There shall be paid te each of the Aldermen of The Corporation of the
City of Port Coquitlan in the year 1973 an indernity of Three Thousand Six Hundred
€33,600.00) Dollars per annum of which said indemnity the sum of One Thousand Two
Hundred ($1,200.00) Dollars shall be paid as an ellowance for expenses incidental
fo the discharge of the duties of hia office,
3. The Indemnity provided for in Sections One (1) and Two (2) hereof shail
be paid monthly by the City Treasurer to the person or persons entitled to receive
sane without order ox resolution of the Council, s-ve and except as hereinafter
provided,
&. , Should any c.enber of Council be absent fron four (4) consecutive re ular
Council meetings or more, the indemnity chae would be due were he not so absent
shall not be paid to hin except by unanimous vote of the remainder of the menbers
of Council.

5. This Syelaw may be cLeed for all purnoses as the “Council Indemnity
