THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM An alternative nonconventional storm sewer was examined for St. Anne Street to try to reduce the cost, This involved a perforated storm drain with filter cloth and drain rock which would result in the storm water being injected into the ground. This alternative scheme is still estimated to cost $376,000 because of the more costly construction methods. It is not recommended as we lose the benefit of the storm sewer on Flint Street which will probably need to be installed at a later date anyway. The local improvement on Sefton Street is estimated to cost $87,000 with approximately $11,020 recoverable from the Property owners, Se of the long term petition for this project. However, it would be necessary for the whole storm sewer to be approved in order for the project to go ahead. b& : F.E, Peters, P. Eng., City Engineer FEP/sgg Attachment
