SUBJECT: Minor Hockey Christmas Hockey Tournament

Recommendation:

1. That the PoCo Minor Hockey Association be permitted to
host their tournament from December 27th to December
3ist, 1985, in the PoCo Recreation Centre.

2. That rental charges for the ice be at 50% of the
regular Minor Hockey charge.

3. That -they be permitted to use the ticket office and
room facilities free of charge.

Backaround & Comments:

This is the third annual Christmas tournament for Minor
Hockey. In the past they have had the ice rental at 50%

of the regular charge. Unfortunately their request for the
tournament came a little late; however, the Parks & Recrea-—
tion Department has gone ahead with the required ice bookings.
This time of year for ice rentals is usually very quiet and
the tournament does bring in some additional revenue which we
would not normally have. Their letter_is attached for

Council's information.
