Fifteen thousand steel workers in Sidney, Hamilton and Algoma are
on strike for a 1942c an hour increase at Stelco and Algoma, and 2414c
an hour iticrease at Dosco; a minimum weekly wage of $33.60 and the
40-hour week, and two weeks’ holiday with pay. The Steel octopus can
pay this increase out of excess profits, and still have plenty for dividends.
