That as recommended by the Building and Protection Committee and
the Public Works Commit vee, January 3rd, 1980 the drainage requirements
for the CP Rail Yard expansion as sect out in thetr letter of December
17th, 1979 be approved;

SUBJECT TO the exclusion of commercial developments at the west end

of the Yard.

Prior to passage of the forepolng resolution Alderman Ranger gave a
brief background of his understanding regarding the development of the
property at the west end of the CPR Yards known as the "Marathon" property
and that in his opinion this property was not to be ineluded in the CPR
Yard expansion development. Mayor Laking, however, stated his oplafon that
CP Rail held a contrary view, Discusston then ensued and ft was the
general opinion of Couned] that the dratnage requirements for the
west end of the CPR Yards be discussed further with CP Radl.
